Our Team.

The Greater Waverly Foundation's Village Initiative hosted a summer camp that offered an array of fun activities and outdoor experiences for children ages 5 to 14. We strive to create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn, grow, and make lasting memories.

What makes us unique is that we rely on our volunteers to help us run the camp. Our volunteers are passionate about helping children reach their full potential and make the most out of their summer camp experience. We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join us for the summer season.

Our Roots

Our mission is to address the educational, social and economic needs of children, families, and neighborhoods within the Greater Waverly Community, and surrounding areas.

Advancing Our Agenda

"Pursuing Academic Excellence”

The primary goal of the Village Initiative is to improve the academic performance and standardized test scores of K-12 students in our target area by providing tutoring and after-school homework assistance.
We believe in and value the importance of developing the whole child by engaging in mentoring and education that are both intricately related to the child’s health and mental well-being.
We believe the youth and young adults in our target area should have every opportunity to pursue higher education, high-quality jobs, and life fulfilling careers.

“Elevating Community Voices”

Through our community engagement efforts, we strive to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.
